For Adults

Life can be unpredictable and challenging. Most of the times we are able to effectively deal with difficulties, emerging stronger and more learned. Yet there are times when despite our best efforts we feel ‘stuck’ and unable to proceed. This can be during a tough phase in a relationship, stress at work or after a major life event. It is at these times that we feel the need to reach out. Although friends and family try to help out with well-intentioned advice, this is sometimes not enough.

It is in these situations that we need to talk to an expert in the area of human psychology, one who can help us make sense of what is happening with us and overcome our challenges in a healthy and an effective manner.

The therapists and counsellors at Mind First are empathetic listeners who will spend time understanding your history. After this they will work with you in formulating goals to overcome the current challenge. With the use of specific psychological approaches the therapist will assist you in reaching your goals and living a healthier and a happier life.

For Children and Adolescents

Our children are delicate and vulnerable members of our society. Starting from birth till about the time they reach college, children undergo tremendous physical and psychological growth. There are often times when children also undergo difficulties in response to either the internal changes or triggers in the environment. They need to be sensitively and appropriately guided and nurtured through this period.

We have a trained team of psychologists who can undertake psychological assessments to achieve a fuller understanding of the issue; following which they can create a customized plan to overcome difficulties and assist the child and the caretakers in leading a healthy and balanced life.

Mindfirst empowers children to succeed in life and develop overall health and well-being so that they can excel in school, build healthy relationships and enjoy emotional well-being. We work with parents and families to improve behavioural and academic outcomes in children.

The word ‘coach’ is derived from a town called ‘Kocs’ in northern Hungary, where horse drawn carriages were made. The word ‘coaching’ comes from early forms of transportation, i.e. stage coach or rail coach. This tells us that at its very essence, coaching is deeply related to ‘movement’ or ‘change’. Traditionally the terms ‘coach’ and ‘coaching’ have been used in the area of sports and specifically in India in the higher education competitive examinations sector. However, in the last two decades life coaching (and its variants) has developed as a distinct profession.

Most of us are interested in our personal growth and development. Every now and then we will read a book or an article that teaches us something meaningful or we take personal development courses that promise to help us become better in certain aspects.

Have you ever wanted to be more confident? Or more expressive? Or more productive? Have you ever made New Year resolutions like “I will lose weight or start exercising” or “learn to play an instrument” and then wondered why you have not been able to fulfil your goals and dreams? Have questions like “Who am I?”, “Who would I like to be?” crossed your mind? Do you think about increasing your effectiveness in your relationships? Or changing your career?

If questions like the above have crossed your mind then we invite you to take on a life coaching journey with a life coach at Mind First. You will spend time evaluating your life and then systematically making life-enhancing changes to lead a more fulfilling and a purposeful life.

Whilst each of us is different with our unique personalities and histories, there are certain issues that affect all of us and specific areas of challenge that are common to certain groups and communities. Parents, teachers, students, women are examples of communities that share some common life issues and challenges. Similarly stress management, building self-confidence, etc. are areas that confront most of us as human beings. From time to time Mindfirst will be organizing developmental workshops on such common themes or specifically for certain communities on a range of topics including parenting skills, study skills, self-confidence in women and stress management. All our workshops are based on scientific psychological approaches and are interactive and experiential in nature.
